Exhibitor Information and Rules
What? Join Arlington parents and caregivers of children ages newborn to age 5 for a morning of learning at the 9th Annual “Your Child’s Development 2017: A Resource Fair for Arlington Parents and Caregivers of Infants and Preschoolers.” In addition to two workshops, this event includes an area for community information about programs and support services. This is an opportunity for you as a service provider to share your information and resources with Arlington families and caregivers.
When? Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 8:45 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
Where? Kenmore Middle School, 200 S. Carlin Springs Road, Arlington, VA 22204
Exhibitor Eligibility: County agencies and community non-profit groups have priority as Exhibitors at the Resource Fair. Other groups are welcome on a space-available basis.
How to Apply: Applications should be returned no later than Tuesday, January 24, 2017 to allow adequate time for processing and notification. Applying to participate in the event does not guarantee inclusion. Please submit one copy of your completed and signed application via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or online.
Space Priority: Due to limited space, Exhibitor participation cannot be guaranteed for all groups. Space will be assigned on a priority basis, as noted above. Space location is assigned by logistical restrictions and at the discretion of the event organizers.
Tables/Chairs: Each exhibitor will be provided with either a table (round, rectangular, or cafeteria table), a tablecloth, and 2 chairs.
Parking: The most convenient place to park and unload is at the BACK of the building. Follow the Service Drive parallel to Route 50/Arlington Blvd. and then park anywhere around the circle. Enter the building through the doors to the cafeteria which are located near the circle. Additional space is located in the field area.
Event Cancellation: In the event that the program is cancelled or postponed, in whole or in part, for any reason beyond the County’s control, including but not limited to weather, acts of God, and decisions by public officials, Arlington County will not be liable for any loss of promotional/marketing opportunities, costs, income, or other damages incurred on the part of the Exhibitor.
“Your Child’s Development 2017: A Resource Fair for Arlington Parents and Caregivers of Infants and Preschoolers” will be held as long as Kenmore Middle School is open. Please visit www.apsva.us for “Emergency Announcements” in case of inclement weather. If the Arlington Public Schools are closed, the event will be cancelled. This event will not be rescheduled for any reason.
Financial Transactions: Exhibitors are invited to apply to participate in the Resource Fair as a way to share information about their services and resources. The following are prohibited during the event: 1) the sale of any goods, services, or merchandise; and 2) financial transactions.
Loss/Theft/Injury: Each exhibitor is responsible for securing his/her own property. Arlington County is not responsible for loss, theft, or personal injury.
Exhibitor Set-Up: 8:15 a.m. (Must be set-up by 8:45 a.m.)
Exhibitor Operating Hours: 8:45 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
